We support family Carers with DCA/Carers Allowance applications, reviews & appeals and run local support groups in Cavan town and Monaghan town alongside Carrickmacross. We also offer a bespoke Parent Carer Disability Support Group also and have options for Online support groups also.
We provide Information & Training free to family Carers.

Carers have the option of making an Appointment in the Support Centre for 1-1 advice or alternatively we can arrange a Home Visit etc as per their needs.

- Through other community / voluntary services (e.g. Family Resource Centre / youth organisation / Sligo Social Services, etc.)
We have an External Referral form available for professional referral - typically most are received from the local Phn and other agencies who signpost to our Supports etc.
Many Carers simply self refer and reach out for appropriate supports as per their caring situation.

We support any family Carer who is caring for a loved one, family member or neighbour etc
Counselling is provided by Staff and Volunteers who are Fully Accredited Counsellors
Family Carers Ireland want carers to know they have the support they need to care safely, to make it less of a battle and to know they are not alone. We are the national charity supporting the 500,000+ family and young carers across the country who care for loved ones such as children or adults with additional needs, physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with chronic illnesses, mental health challenges or addiction.
